The This provides extra strength at the stress point and prevents cracking which most often happens because the dip powder application is too thin. With that said, dip powder often gets a bad rap for looking bulky at the cuticle and, to the contrary, this method provides a thin and smooth application giving a much more seamless look. 4-6 layers is enough, it will depend on the opaqueness of the color you’re wearing and, of course, personal preference. Once I reach my full layers, I push back the cuticle before dipping again to get a closer application at the cuticle.
