Im quite late, but popping an eye stye will cause infection, it can either multiply. What i recommend is actually put a hot compress, like warm water and a washrug, let it atleast stay for more than 10 minutes, it relievs pain and removes the blockage of the oil, and ice with washrug will help with reducing the swelling of the eye stye. Or visit a docotr for treatment or buy eyedrops

If you cut a potato in half and heat it up in the microwave, it will stay hot for a long time. Cover the potato with a slightly wet wash cloth. Don't cook the potato, you want it to still be raw, just hot. Hope this helps someone
