While I do agree with you, the reason GAME FREAK made it "see" was so they wouldn't get their shot rocked by basically locking the full post game behind version exclusives (which platinum fixed)-

2003 kid here and grew up with games, especially pokemon. My favourite type of games are the longer grinds. Love MMO RPG, and favourite is WoW Classic on release, newer to fast progress in my opinion.
