I have trained many puppies. So with my toddler I just redirected to an appropriate thing to bite. Worked well for me. It may have been wrong 😆

Does this work with pinching? Because my 2yr old has been pinching for months and we can’t seem to break it. Even gentle approach doesn’t work 😫 he does it when he’s anxious, mad, sad, happy!!!

Yes!! And make sure they aren’t teething or going through a major growth spurt (like learning to walk burns tons of calories) to make sure they are eating enough.

My son accidentally got me on the arm one day while he was upset. Once he calmed I sat him down and calmly talked to him about it. Hasn’t bitten since ❤️I would have been bitten back as a kid 🥺

I did this when my son was biting and it worked 🥰 he hasn't bit me in years, he's 3 now and we can even play bite and it cracks us both up 😂

My son has only ever bitten me while being held, and I’ve always pulled him away from my body, told him “that hurts mommy”, and then offer something he CAN bite. Is this still effective?

Another thing that’s important to consider is what is the trigger for biting. 2 of my 3 kiddos were biters, both and finding out why was the key to stopping it

I try this and my toddler just laughs at me 😅 he never takes me serious he always thinks it’s funny and he says he’s just being “silly”. Advice? 😅
