Don’t miss hiking this absolutely unreal trail on your trip to Europe! You might have to blink a few times when you get off the lift to start your hike, because how can a lake be so blue and how can a landscape be so picture perfect? There’s two ways to start this hike: 1. You hike up the steep and very challenging path to the lake (1 hour) before starting your trip around the lake 2. You take the lift up to the lake (5 mins) and start your adventure from here We purposefully picked the lift because I (Denise) can’t handle steep paths because of my fear of heights. What I didn’t think about was that taking the lift would trigger the same fear…well one thing led to the next and there I was having a full blown panic attack on the lift (after debating for 20 minutes if I should even get on that damn thing). This was definitely one of the worst moments ever BUT getting to see that landscape up in the mountains was (I don’t want to say worth the panic attack) insane!! Luckily going back down was much easier.
