@megandauphineeliving: The barn door saga 😅 If you’ve been following along on this journey you may recall we decided to remove this door to create more space in our very small laundry room. I started by removing the old beat up door jamb and installing a new jamb. Once we got the trim up and held the barn door up, I hated how much the trim stuck out around the sides of the door. The opening is 33 inches and the door is 36. Also the height we needed to install the track was lining up right on the edge of already 4.5 inch thick header. So, off it came and we decided to drywall the edges. Drywalling was fun! Some lessons learned here for sure. 😅 Happy it’s sanded, primed and painted.
