I disagree with this advice. I see your point, but life is too short to be unhappy. Seen too many lives ruined by working jobs they hate just to pay the bills. Find a way to make what you love work.

There are no set paths. You have to forge your own way. Follow your heart but be strategic. I was a psych major who leaned into stats and analytics. I make close to 6 figs and do just fine.
