@mattrieck: Pharmaceutical giant Bayer to cut management staff in half after 42,000 lawsuits against their company Round-up is accused of causing Cancer. Bater will move to a Dynamic Self Leadership Model for employees and remove half of all management staff in an effort to lean out the organization and cut red tape. Is it too little too late for Bayer? I would say that their strategy is flawed and they need to start by getting rid of their product lines which cause all these lawsuits in the first place. Have you guys ever seen groups of up to 100 employees be able to manage themselves? Because I haven’t. Do you think it will work? #Bayer #RoundUp #Cancer #Lawsuits #Layoffs #HealthCrisis #CorporateIssues #LegalBattle #ToxicChemicals #EnvironmentalImpact #PublicHealth #LegalAction #ChemicalControversy #CorporateScandal #Glyphosate #HealthRisks #LegalDrama #WorkerRights #ToxicityAlert #EnvironmentalJustice #CorporateNegligence #PublicAwareness #SafetyConcerns #RegulatoryFailures #CorporateResponsibility #PesticideProblems #CancerRisk #CorporateMisconduct #industryethics
CEO, CFO, and board are probably getting to stay though 🙄

If most employees were paid a fair salary & stock options or a pension then 90% of executives & middle management can be eliminated!

Probably low level managers definitely not executives. That would be ridiculous.

Yeah, that self-organizing concept is called a union. Good (could be great) for the workers.

I’m curious if this can work. It is going to depend, I think, on a blend of leadership upskilling and tech. 🤔

This proves employees know more than executives. Executives slow things down.

I think as a society, we need to be thinking of, and experimenting with new ways decisions are made. Top down control is always rotten for the people at the bottom and the whole organization suffers.

Overly complex company. Too many layers. Too many processes. Cut the red tape in a big way. It’s the only way.

I personally think that there should be support teams that produce control artifacts for those employees and groups of employees (project tracking, documentation, bugeting, etc)
