@rachazzo: Maybe it will be this generation of gentle parented kids that lead with empathy, kidness, and a strong sense of emotional intelligence. I’ve noticed this style of handling my toddlers big emotions is 100x more effective than matching his energy and getting frustrated. Is it hard? ABSOLUTELY. Im only human and when the whining and crying has been going on all day its hard not to feel it bubbling inside but when i react frustarted they can sense it and it only makes things worse. Remember that you are the example in your home and your energy sets the tone. As hard as it may be, take your own deep breaths and then help these tiny tyrants work through their own emotions.
