Yes! The grandparents need to be saving for their retirement. Raising a child at that stage in life can do terrible financial damage.

I would always advise grandparents to seek legal custody. We raised our for years without legal custody and then had them taken back.

Right but guess what get a judge that has a very close relationship 😏 with the other grandmother of child delayed everything mother owes 30,000. to us we get 100.00 per month

More important than the money is custody. Often in cases like this the adult children use the child as pawn to get money, etc. Stability is a must for the child.

girl, I helped so many grandparents in this situation thru my tax prep job. sent them to the right people to get the benefits and rights they deserved for taking care of the kids.
