@s_johnson_voiceovers: I had an Intracapsualar Partial Tonsillectomy today. As a voice actor, the concept of someone slicing (or in this case… shaving) away part of your instrument is daunting. But, it was needed. My tonsils were more than twice the size of a normal set. This led to constant tonsil stones, excessive coughing, quarterly tonsillitis and sore throats when even slightly raising my voice for even a minute (Like when talking over a crowd in a bar). On top of that, it contributed to my sleep apnea. It’s gonna be a rough recovery but not a rough as having an old fashioned tonsillectomy. My recovery should be about a 4th of the time as a normal tonsillectomy. No change to my voice either.
