@court.chills: #911calls Marcus Luttrell was the sole survivor of Operation Redwing, a Navy SEAL mission in Afghanistan in 2005 that resulted in the deaths of 19 American soldiers. Severely injured, he returned home and was awarded the Navy Cross, along with a Labrador Retriever named DASY for support during his recovery. However, in April 2009, Luttrell was awakened by the sound of a shotgun outside his home in Walker County, Texas. Armed with a pistol, he checked on his mother next door before rushing to the road, where he found DASY fatally shot. Spotting two young men nearby, he chose not to fire at them but instead pursued them at speeds of up to 100 mph across three counties until a patrol officer intervened.
