definitely did not need to remove grass. could have used 4 x 4 post in corners or 2x4 and skipped fancy joints.

We used a sod cutter to dig ours and I think it was the fastest way we could have gone! Rolled up the grass and used some of it in our compost and other places in the yard that needed it!

massive overkill. just take the turf off and turn it over, don't add stone chippings to the base, they will upset the soil ph, an upright at each corner (helps with netting) and screw the planks in
