No need for the wire, you need to remove the back panel where the tube is there is a rubber bung this sticks to gether which stops water draining

My fridge does this, there’s a block of ice in the back but a pool of water under the veg drawer, if we turn up the fridge the block gets worse but we can lower it as then nothing will stay chilled

Worked as a Samsung white/brown good engineer, common issue on Samsung American fridge/freezers. Can’t tell you how many evap covers and defrost heaters we changed while I was there
