Is their hierarchy in Mormon communities dependant on how far back ones Mormons lineage goes? I.e if your family joined early on, are you more “powerful” within the community?

As an adoptee I always wished that my bio family had records like my Mormon friends did 🤣🤣🤣 they’d have 7 generations of knowledge and I’m over here not knowing what ethnicity I even am 🤣🤣🤣

my husband from Utah is from both Brigham Young and Joseph Smith. His Great grandmother left Utah for California and her children joined the church and brought her back to Utah. She wasn't happy 😒
