I grew up being taught this. It’s accurate. ISHMAEL receiving inheritance however is an interesting statement. Blessing and inheritance are two different things.

Ishmael mother Hajra wanted Ishmael to take Isaac’s place because Ishmael was born first but God has other plans not Ishmael but for Isaac and just because Ishmael was Abraham seed he was blessed.

Yes he received a blessing of being multiplied due to his father being Abraham but the Covenant was Always with Isaac. And we serve a God of Covenant! He never made a covenant with Ishmael.
