@dumplinlover: okay bare with me!! I was in the middle of deep conditioning and kept getting comments asking for a cornrow tutorial so I made this in a rush. This definitely isn’t my best work lol and braiding with a ton of conditioner in is not great BUTTT i tried. I hope this helps! the best advice anyone can give you is to just start and keep trying!!! I literally learned by trial and error. There’s so many ways to position your hands and fingers, so many directions you can braid, etc. You really just have to grab a section of hair, envision the pattern of movements and slowly grab hair while you attempt to braid downward. Your fingers will figure the rest out and get the hang of it, and if you do it often enough you’ll be able to get better quickly. but yea, i hope this helps someone!!
