It's the power that creates CO2 not the ac itself, glad you clarified that. We need green energy production to make this better.

'tragedy of the commons' makes it irrational to conserve said resource, this comic misunderstands the point and misunderstands progressive solutions in general.

you actually use more energy by constantly turning them off and on, leaving them at a steady temperature uses less power because they aren't working as hard, especially with this kind of temperature

This makes sense, however it ignores the fact that in a lot of places the heat+humidity make it extremely dangerous as the body cannot cool itself down as sweat doesn’t evaporate efficiently.

only thing I agree no reason to have AC at 16/18, you are actually cold and need to wear extra layers at that point 😅 lower I go Is 24/25 when outside Is 30/35

A nice mid-way alternative is to use the "Dry Mode" of your Aircon. It dehumidify the air and surprisingly can be quite cooling too. Saved lots of money using this Dry Mode. 👍

ALSO! Constantly turning on and turning off the AC uses more power. If you turn it on, leave it on for a while, or don't turn it back on for a while if you do turn it off

AC uses energy to pump heat out of a room. that's what makes areas hotter when everyone's AC is on. you will never produce as much co2 as the corpos.
