"Fugitive" Lee Hsien Yang, the brother of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, has highlighted the recent scandals involving PAP parliamentarians, saying that trust in the PAP has been "shattered" In a Facebook post, Lee said: "PM Lee Hsien Loong's failure of leadership has squandered that trust". Lee raised the issue of Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam and Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Shanmugam renting state-owned colonial bungalows, saying that they received "state-owned renovations". The Singapore Land Authority spent about S$1 million in total renovating both bungalows, saying that the houses needed to be in habitable condition for the ministers could move in. Lee also mentioned the recent corruption case involving excutives from Keppel, and the case of Singapore Press Holding's former newspaper arm (now ST Media Works) inflating ciculation numbers. Lee then cited the arrest of Transport Minister S Iswaran, and PM Lee's non-disclosure of the extra-marital affair between disgraced former Speaker of Parliament Tan Chuan-Jin and former PAP MP Cheng Li Hui. Rounding up, Lee said that "Hsien Loong's regime does not deserve Singaporeans' trust". Lee was called a "fugitive" in parliament earlier this year by Mr Shanmugam. He left Singapore with his wife, Lee Suet Fern, after refusing to comply with police request to help with investigations into whether he had lied during judicial proceedings regarding the handling of his father, the late Lee Kuan Yew's, will. Lee says that he is being persecuted for defending his father's wishes to have the 38 Oxley Road house demolished.
