I doubt this is going to help as there isn't a shortage of applicants. 18 year olds won't have the work/life experience to prove in interviews they're suitable. I'm 28 and one of the youngest drivers.

I work for the railway in Canada, we don’t get to start as a locomotive engineer, we start as a conductor and after 2 years of service we are eligible for training but it’s based on our seniority
