I also have ulcerative colitis and pay $657 monthly for insurance. That’s $7,884 yearly JUST for ins. but it covers almost everything. I couldn’t survive without it as my treatments are about 4k/m

They probably coded the claim incorrectly which caused a denial. There needs to be a modifier on the claim for it to show as medically necessary.

When you get the bill. Message them and say you can’t afford it. (The billing company) They may ask for pay stubs. But there’s a chance they’ll wave it. Then also contact your insurance and explain

In Sweden I paid $50 for a five day hospital stay including surgery, all the tools and the food and bed. Including everything and we don’t pay health insurance
