In my practice I see people of all generations and they have different ways of approaching back to school based on their experiences 🕰️📕 🧓🏾Older Boomers mentality may have stemmed from their parents who went through w@r and economic uncertainty. Because their parents went through economic instability they were told to always respect elders and delay happiness until goals were met. They respected authority because this reflected well on family legacy.  💼Gen X was raised in the age of materialistic accumulation. They think about financial assets and wanted a chance to accumulate their own wealth. Success was measured by status and titles ad well as accumulating wealth. The pursuit of accolades meant financial success. 👩🏻‍💻Millennials grew up in the age of internet convenience. They were the first generation to be born into an age of online information. They were also raised in an age of student loan debt and often struggle to pay off debt while trying to build a life for themselves. Education wasn’t a road to wealth because wealth Is harder to obtain and those who pursue knowledge due so out of curiosity and a love of wisdom. 🤳Gen Z grew up in the age of social media where they connect in a digital age as digital natives. Their interactions online are just as valuable as interactions in person. They are deliberate about their choices to value their rigid boundaries and advocate openly for their preferences. They have high cost of living makes it difficult for them to have the assets that their predecessors  had so they figure out ways to advance based on having to adapt in a world that is pushing out manual workers with digital advances.  *Does not capture all experiences in every generation.
