the code that caused the light to come on is stored in the computer... the light will not go away until it is properly diagnosed and properly repaired.

you just turned the light off, the problem was not fixed. you need to replace the blinker Fluid.

My niece's car used to do that. Mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. She stopped using cheap gas and it never appeared again.

you can use a code reader at a parts store for free and clear the fault code, but that is temporary fix until a diagnostic and proper repair.
