@mrsblinks: This news breaks my heart 💔😞 This wasn’t the update I was hoping to give but here we are… As most of you know in January we started our adventure to live in Portugal. What a rush of complicated emotions… Excitement. Doubt. Fear. I remember that moment driving away from our home in Florida like it was yesterday, sobbing in the Uber to the airport. I was so worried that our decision wouldn’t live up to all of the really high expectations. I was wrong! We fell even more in love with Portugal. We found community. We loved the simplicity of life. The girls were thriving. Originally we started with the plan of 3 months, with the possibility of extending it. We joined @Boundless Life and it was the best decision. We loved being here! This felt like home and our hope was to extend our time in Portugal to a year and go from there. It’s funny how life never really goes the way you plan it. About a month in we found out that someone very close to us was going to have major surgery. We needed to go home to be there for them. We didn’t hesitate for a minute. We knew that we needed to be home in Florida. There was nothing more important to us. But it doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier 😞 Even though we are saying goodbye to this incredible chapter we know this is not “goodbye” to the country we have fallen in love with. Just “see you again soon” 💕 I’m not quite sure what’s in store for us next but I know we are just where we need to be. Thank you for always being so kind to our little family.
