So, long story short. He’s borderline needing a tonsillectomy, But we were advised that between ages 7-9 children tend to see big changes and one being their tonsils go down, or atleast they “grow into them”. Brodys are really big but they checked his airways and they are fine, so because he hasn’t had tonsillitis numerous times within the year they’re hesitant to put him forward for a tonsillectomy and have referred us to see the Pediatric ENT specialist at the same clinic to get another opinion. Which we will get booked in asap, We really feel he needs some sort of aid because of the loss of sleep he has due to the tonsils, but at the same time feel reassured that his airways are fine and the ENT Specialist wasn’t concerned.
