I can’t imagine not doing the tandem because it helped the story line in my head, but it is a lot of work!! But I think there is a someone who made a file of the whole tandem read available for kindle

I am a tandem read hater thru and thru. I think ultimately you will love the books either way BUT the books need their own separate reads to rly shine in my opinion

Do it! Empire of Storms ends in a cliffhanger and it would have been torture to then have to read 700+ Tower of Dawn before KOA. The two blend pretty seamlessly and make the transition to KOA great

There’s multiple factors I would take into consideration before deciding: 1. some don’t like chaol enough to read TOD in one go (so if your one of them def tandem), 2.how many povs do you want to

I did tandem and I didn’t love it. There’s a lot going on in both books and it kinda annoyed me sometimes putting one on hold to move to the other to read.

i was a first time reader and i did do the tandem read. i loved it! you don’t need to as only a few events coincide with each other. i did it bc there aren’t many books out there i’ll ever tandem 1/

I didn’t tandem read and I’m happy that I was able to appreciate and enjoy the books on their own. I would definitely try the tandem read the next time though since I already read them on their own!

Ngl the tandem read really helped me with Tower of Dawn as I don’t really like Chaol😂 So switching back to Empire of Storms after a few chapters was definitely a treat☺️
