@sneakersthecorgi: we’re so sorry to have to share that our dearest sneakers passed away, just 5 weeks after her 15th birthday. selfishly, no amount of time with her could ever be enough, and we could not bear to lose her; yet, we also had to admit to ourselves that she might have been holding on only to give us more time to accept that it was time to say goodbye. she was succumbing to kidney disease and old age in her final days, and though she still smiled and snuggled with us, her adoring eyes were heavy-lidded, her little legs were growing weary, and her tiny bones were tired. the thought of never holding our sweet girl again feels unbearable, but the love we felt when she was with us was so all-encompassing that it will stay with us forever. our life was so wonderful because of her. she made our little family complete. we will never forget her, and we will always cherish the memories: the ones that make us smile and laugh, and even the ones that make us cry. thank you for loving her too. ❤️ #sneakersthecorgi
