I like it. I appreciate the original brick but it looked very dated. The paint job looks classic and beautiful

My only concern is retained moisture that can damage the bricks/structure over time. Lime washing can do the same but still allow the brick to breathe.

It’s beautiful, but when you go to take the paint off, you’ll be taking the brick coating off and the brick will be in disrepair. It is beautiful, but there’s a price to pay for it.

The white looks 1,000 times better. But they do say that paint doesn’t allow the brick to breathe and release moisture as needed. So what did your contractor say for maintence to ensure no issues?

Any real estate agent will tell you that it has become exorbitantly expensive to have a real brick exterior. By painting it, you’ve decreased the “curb appeal” value of the house by tens of thousands!
