They used .25 for the quarter but not .01 for the penny. People will still fall for it tho

You would have no reason to ever multiply a quarter times a quarter. You would multiply a quarter by how many you have and not by itself

Can’t multiply twenty five cents by twenty five cents you have to multiply it by a number not a donomination of currency

You're not saying 1x1=2. You're saying, I have 1 one time which =1. I have 2 two times. which =4 & so on.

But in the first example you’re multiplying 25 x .25 and in the second .25 x .25. You’re not multiplying a quarter x quarter in first example.

a multiplication is the calculus in which we count X times a number Y, so "2×3" can be read "we count 2 three times" or "we count 3 two times".. if I count 1 one time I only have 1....

in multiplication one number is a value and one is a multiplyer, a value time a value makes no sense, like an orange times an orange

The confusion is in the math language. It is accepted that fractions are "of 1" but we don't say it. A quarter "of 1."

Multiply means the repeated addition of groups of equal size. So 1 group of 1 = 1, 2 groups of 2 = 4, not rocket science

He doesn’t show how he came up with the inverse, just makes an incorrect statement. 4/2 is 4 divided by 2 = 2, 2/1 = 2. You can also explain it as 4(1/2) or four halves or 4 x 1/2, 2(1/1) or 2 x 1.

Multiplication means you have a number of sets. If you have no sets (0) it will always be nothing (0)! If you have one set of any number of items, you will always have that number of items in the set!

We use the name Quarter to describe the coin because it’s a quarter of a dollar the same amount as 25 pennies. 1/4 is a fraction that can be represented by .25 but isn’t the same as a quarter!
