Have to agree, the science in reducing power draw is true. But it's a disaster for longevity. Even if it didn't create scale and corrosion, it increases dirt/debris buildup.

Going to corrode the condenser There are big industrial units that have water assist cooling but the condenser is made with different materials to prevent corrosion

bye bye coils we did this as a last resort on 8 rtu units luckily we are begining to replace them cuz the coils are shot and the compressors and insides are rusted as hell now

😂rott out coil twice as fast , water has either iron or calcium in it well or city treated is no go , that’s why towers are closed treated loops of water
