my uncle was on sword beach, and towed a section of the mulberry harbour over, we took him back to aromanche, early in 2000it was very emotional, sadly he's no longer with us.

The Normandy shores are still absolutely littered by bullet cartridges and other debris. It’s very moving when you find something and realise what it represents.
