I had this surgery. Went terribly wrong. Big toe does not lay flat Looks like bunion is now on bottom of foot. Foot was a 8.5 now 7.5 with high arch. Can’t find shoes. Toe severely disfigured.

I was getting bad bunion pain. I bought a corrector, wore it one day for 8hrs in great pain, said “nope” at the end of the day but never had the pain since!

Yes this was the old way, today they use screws to hold the thumb in place so it doesnt grow back
