ad | Going back to work has been made so much better by creating my own office space with @B&Q and look, no white paint in sight 🥳. Because it’s a small space I tried colour drenching for the first time (a design trick to make spaces feel bigger) and this tough and durable paint is perfect because it covers different surfaces like walls and wood 🤗. Absolutely loooooove this colour, it works so well in garden setting 🌿. Using beaded board wall panels was a lovely, quick DIY job to add some detail too👌. Another DIY first was installing the flooring and these easy fit LVT tiles really were as simple as just clicking into place! All you need is a utility knife for making your cuts - no adhesive, no mess, PERFECT!! Super durable and the pattern goes a long way to hiding footprints 🙌. Then onto skirting and coving, I won’t lie I found the coving angles tricky but a bit of caulk goes a long way ☺️. Also attempted scribing the skirting board for neater corners, needs more practice 😅. The paint covered both of these really well with just two coats 🙌. Finally, I needed a desk so used a secondhand oak table and repurposed the wood to make a built-in floating desk. There was also some spare for matching shelf ☺️. Sanded the wood back and used a dark oak satin varnish for a hardwearing finish.
