Moving from the US to Mexico, it was how casual people in Mexico were about property crime. Basically any time someone was victimized, it was their fault. “Someone broke into your house? Should have had bars on the window.” It was treated as an “Oh, well” event.

us to UK.. biggest shock was how everything felt super similar but it was all off. the taste of fast foods, cars on opposite sides of the road, even the clothing is just a bit different.

moving from Japan to the US, I don't see kids (elementary) taking public transit alone. I loved getting around on my own as a kid when I lived in Japan.

I visited Mexico to go fishing at a house my cousin owned. The locals in the small village we were in never interacted with us, we needed to use a middle man if we wanted something.
