I feed my dog raw and he was very lean as well. Personally, it was a little too lean so I added 1/4 cup kibble + his raw. Those carbs are easy calories.๐

Even if the dog is being fed like this he is underweight regardless. Neither of the breeds he is mixed with should he showing ANY ribs at all and I could count Atleast 5.

if you can prove to people that labs can and should show ribs, by providing reliable sources, then people may leave you alone. however, i have never seen any reliable source EVER say that labs can.

if that is raw, I would recommend cooking it before feeding it to them, dogs can still get sick from the bacteria, if it's not cooked. and when they do so they can also get you sick.

people are actually mental. they're used to seeing fat and obese dogs and when they see a bit of rib on a dog they immediately say they're uw. your dogs looking great don't listen to them :)
