So one thing I have done as a breeder is keep a seperate bachelor flock to my main flock and have been very successful so far without much fighting, this allows me to keep my extra males

I know you don’t have chickens but I was curious if my male duck will hurt my female chickens when he is older. If so I will separate them. But I would like to keep them together.

My rescue Pekin drake was abandoned at a park, and he is a sweetheart. His future ladies are still too young, though, so they're separate for a few more months. 🥰

Is it common for ducks to make friends with other species? A duck and a swan down the road from my house go everywhere together. If you see one without the other, chances are they're not far behind 😂

Congratulations on your book ! The ducks are so cute. I have never had pet ducks, but have had pet chickens. Got tiny chicks for Easter- this when I was young. First 1 was a rooster 2 were hens

I have 2 Female and 1 male Muscovy duck. Even though it's matings season he has not mated and he just walks around on the female duck and wonder what he's supposed to do.(we've checked all the eggs)
