Well, travel with me is never a dull event! And if I told you I almost missed our flight AGAIN…would you even be surprised at this point? 😂 Our last morning in Puerto Rico started with Amy feeding the bunnies, some extra Mom and Dad cuddle time before her six-week “cuddle deficit,” and me feeling VERY proud that I had somehow kept all our stuff organized and ready to go. Then…the rain started. We were thrilled to see it until it stopped and I actually heard myself say, “Oh no! The sun is out!” EXCUSE ME?? Me complaining about sunshine?! Puerto Rico, what have you done to me?! 😂 We left early for the airport and thank goodness we did because the rain came back with a VENGEANCE. One tiny problem…the passenger-side window of the Montero had fallen off the track and was stuck ALL THE WAY DOWN. So there I was, riding through a Puerto Rican downpour wearing a white garbage bag fashioned into a poncho because apparently my middle name is MacGyver. 🤣 Then traffic slowed to a crawl on those mountain roads and I’m watching our boarding time get closer while we’re still MILES from the airport. All I could think was, “Come ON, Frontier! You delay flights ALL THE TIME! DELAY THIS ONE!!” Kevin barely stopped the car before Amy and I jumped out and made a mad dash for the terminal. WE MADE IT! They were still boarding! Everyone got on the plane, we got settled, and then came the announcement… The flight was delayed. Why? OUR PILOTS WERE STUCK IN TRAFFIC. 🤣🤣🤣 All that rushing, worrying and begging Frontier to do what Frontier does best… And they came through for me. I cannot make this stuff up. But we made it! Amy and Grandma are officially headed home. ❤️
