A conversation with the wild cranes across the frozen lake 🩵 This evening, in the very end of April, I felt how the winter took it’s last breath. Warm winds came traveling across the ice and the quick change of temperatured created this magical fog all over the landscape. I went down to the lake to capture some scenes of the ice and the moody forest, and then I thought about how this exact evening remembered me alot of an evening in April 2011, when I experienced my very first spring living out here in the woods. It looked exactly the same, foggy and blue, and then I did the whistle and the cranes answered me. It was such a magical moment. I have a video from this moment on my YouTube channel (one of the first videos I ever created). So this evening, 13 years later, I stod here by the same lake and I thought about that moment in the early spring 2011. I decided to put the camera on record and do the wild whistle again to see if the cranes would answer. I never thought they would! And I felt like rush if joy and reliefwhen I heard their trumpet like sound far across the lake. It just meant a lot to me. Lately I’ve felt so lost in how life just goes so fast and things are not the same anymore. But then, this moment just made me feel that all these magical little things are here for us always. No matter what. The magic I felt back then, it is still here. We just need to be presence enough to notice ❤️ #wildwhistle #whistle #handwhistle #nordicfolklore #sweden #animal #cranes #nordic #nordiclifestyle #spring
