@jadewarshaw: Choices are the gift that keeps on giving. They either give a great future or future consequences.   The hard part is when a choice that causes future consequences “feels” like it’s keeping you from making a choice that will give a great future.   We see this all the time when a spouse wants to make the choice to stay home to take care of kids, but struggle with it financially because of a past choice to go into debt. That’s when that future consequence hits hard.    Here’s the thing, your grown so you can do what you want and I'm not mad. But with debt (since it is a thief) you have to completely cut it off so it stops stealing from you. I truly believe in most cases it's’ worth it to sacrifice a few years to get it gone so that you can have the whole rest of their childhood to stay home and have better financial quality of life and more peace. As opposed to letting that debt slowly drain on your life for years and years. BUT I know people value different things. Some people would be fine with forfeiting debt freedom for the years back at home. #personalfinance #moneyadvice #parenting #stayathome #daycare
