Aleja Childcare Provider :
From Trauma to Testimony: The Calling of Minister Aleja Bennett
My Journey through the Shadows
My life began in a place of deep contradiction. Abandoned at six months old, I was adopted into a home where my parents held the titles of Deacon and Deaconess. However, behind closed doors, I endured horrific abuse and trauma. By age nine, I was a runaway, fleeing the very people who should have protected me. This painful beginning led to years of struggle with alcoholism, suicidal ideation, and a diagnosis of PTSD.
The Supernatural Turning Point
The Master’s grace intervened powerfully in 2025. God began to supernaturally remove the "taste" for cigarettes and alcohol. More importantly, He began a deep work of restoration, healing me from the depression, insomnia, and anxiety that had plagued me for decades. He took what was broken in the "house of the Lord" and made me a pillar of His strength.
A Voice for the Hurting
Today, I am no longer defined by my trauma, but by my Steward Servant Calling. As a minister, author, and podcast host, I use my voice across social media, poetry, and song to reach those who have been wounded by life and by the church. My studies at the Christian Leadership Institute are equipping me to be a faithful steward of this message of redemption, ensuring that my leadership is rooted in the true heart of service.
