This is all down to saddle fit. If you have a bad fitting saddle thats causing pressure points it dosnt matter how good the pad is

In the no pad analysis it shows a channel taking pressure off the spinal column, with the padding is there a concern of pressure on the center where there should be none?

Has anyone noticed how the saddle is now disconnected from the horse with the squish pad, making the saddle too narrow now! Ideally you should never need any padding if your saddle fits correctly!

yes but fleece (or sheepskin) pads affect your saddle fit. It will make the saddle more narrow, so make sure that you have your saddlefitter out so they can fit the saddle WITH the pad to the horse!

Well in order for this to work properly I would need my saddle to be fitted to the pad instead of the horse, or else it’s gonna be too tight for the horse and potentially cause other issues..

I think it depends on the saddle fit, if you’re adding a half pad you should have the saddle fitted to it otherwise adding one can change the fit of the saddle

imo the 5-8 pressure rating moving to the spine with the squish pad is not encouraging. I would rather more force on the carrying muscles than any direct spinal impact (3 direct/8 on the sides).
