He responded by noting similar timeframes exist in western Europe, such as 14 weeks in France. But France?s government also recently enshrined abortion rights into their constitution, specifically to avoid the kind of legal rollback of women?s healthcare rights seen in the United States. ?There comes a point,? Hovde said, ?where a baby can be born healthy and alive.?
