People think consequences = hitting a kid. There’s so many different avenues you can use as consequences! All children need consequences and boundaries

I have cousins (they're twins) who are severely autistic, they will never be able to live without a caregiver. And you best believe my aunt and uncle *never* let them get away with bad behavior. 》

Agreed 👏 My son has high functioning Autism and I treat him the same as normal kids his age. I know his limits and boundaries but if he does something wrong he will be parented like any normal kid!

My mom still uses “she doesn’t know any better” to my autistic sister who’s 26. Said sister isn’t disabled or stupid in any way.
