@houseplantparadise_: Plot twist: I’ve never killed an alocasia and it’s probably because I do this with every single one (tissue culture and baby plant exempt). What is usually a big no to many plant parents is my go to method. 📸: @alocasias.australia on IG Given I have only alocasias, I prefer to lose a leaf or two while the plant grows water roots than risk any bugs getting into my whole collection. That applies even to expensive or variegated plants like this variegated Alocasia reginula ‘Ninja’. I did this same treatment on my regular ninja and she’s now putting out new leaves and has very healthy roots in pon 🔆 Would you ever try this method of Alocasia treatment?
