@yas.jd: Tips wlecome (not CIO) to get a 12 month old to stay asleep in their cot all night (who is used to the breast and cosleeping 🤦🏽♀️) #firsttimemom #cio #sleeptraining #babysleep
Sleep is developmental and can’t be trained no matter what people believe. Also don’t let them say bf is the cause, unless mine is teething/sick, mine

Sleep is developmental. Every baby is different. Sleep training (cio specifically) is cruel. You got this mama!

Check out happycosleeper - her transitions guide is amazing!! A floor bed might be your thing if baby is used to cosleeping

I was always told that they won’t sleep through the night if they can’t self settle. I always fed mine to sleep, but as soon as I started to self settle them, they started sleeping through.

There’s a difference between not sleeping through the night and apparently being awake so long at night you need coffee..??

We did check ins every 3-5 min at 18 months and picked up and sang a song/cuddled for awhile each check in. Took a few weeks but worked 🙏🏽

I’m in the same boat and managed to get it slightly better by stopping feeding to sleep but cuddling, patting shhing instead never let him cry! Takes a few days for them to accept for sure!

My boy is 11 months was used to co sleeping until he was getting disturbed by us moving etc! We changed his cot into the cot bed and a bed rail - night three and been sleeping soooo much better.

Part1. Stick to the same routine/dinner/play /bath/book/bottle/bed.Same books /same room for reading same everything. White noise on in their room ready for bottle in there then put down awake- sleepy

At 14 months, we switched to cosleeping in my baby’s room instead of mom& dad room, got a floor bed and slowly weaned off nursing. Took 9 days

We had a few rough weeks right before her first birthday too and then all of a sudden it went back to normal + she stopped feeding at night (she used to wake up once to feed and go right back to sleep

The advice which is actually just CIO dressed up blows my mind when you specifically said not CIO 😭

We night weaned our cosleeping baby with supported crying (held her, rocked her, let her process the grief) and now she’s sleeping through the night in her own floor bed most nights 8-5:30!

We’re the same. We just let ours dictate when she’s sleepy. I watch for sleep cues and then put her to bed. We lay with her until she’s fully asleep. Saved our sanity.

Floor bed! Make sure the room is safe but you can lay with them until they fall asleep and then just roll out rather than putting them into a cot

I never used CIO but my girl did learn to self soothe by me really learning her types of cries and just being hella hyper aware of her noises and movements. If it was a full blown cry, I would pick -
