I actually hadn't seen this back when it launched, so I love that you all brought it to my attention. Let's compare the two and talk a little about why a brand might use the same style of packaging as another! The packaging choice for both PUR and Mario actually serves a practical purpose beyond aesthetics. (I mean, how cool is this dual-use component?) The design isn't just about looking good-it's about functionality. Both the pump and the doe foot make it easy to control the amount of product you use, for different reasons and needs, which also bonus: prevents spills and minimizes waste, which I love. In most cases it’s possible for a brand to have an exclusive agreement for a number of years to a specific package—-and then, the manufacturer can sell it again. So it’s not wild to see Mario with the launch years later for a different product format! For starters, Pur is a foundation while Mario is a liquid bronzer. Pur's formula gave me classic, longwear foundation vibes. Think silicone, less lightweight than Mario's would be. Mario is extremely fluid in comparison and goes on sheer!
