I did this! My ex was abusing me mentally, financially and then he came home drunk and …. I took the kids the next day, which he hid my keys on me so I wouldn’t leave.

Abuse is not a mental illness. Please don’t say that. There’s no mental illness in the DSM5 for ahuse. It’s hard to change bc these are deep rooted beliefs. Not mental illness. It’s entitlement.

Thank you, he was just sentenced today and I’m feeling a rollercoaster of guilt, relief, strength and fear. Sick thing is I gotta keep reminding myself not to miss him.can’t wait to find that good man
