@thesunnahguy: When someone gossips about what others have been saying about you, then don’t take things at face value. Often times there’s motives that you’re unaware of. Rest assured if someone is comfortable speaking about you in the presence of others then more than likely that person has allowed it to happen and may often times encourage it. It’s best to continue as you are and move away from those who gossip and carry tales. The Prophet ﷺ said, “He who believes in Allah and the Last Day must either speak good or remain silent”. Keep yourself to yourself, don’t look for justifications and who said what about this person or that person. And trust me you’ll preserve the one thing that’s not worth compromising. And that’s your peace.
