I heard this a LONG time ago so please do correct me if I'm wrong, aren't some animals like cows able to continue producing milk after weaning as long as the glands are stimulated?

Following bc I want a family farm and am still learning. Milk sharing with the calf would be perfect for us!!! How do you save the milk? It takes 3-4 of us to get thru a gallon a week 😅

As a kid stayed at friends farm we loved milking the cows and drinking the milk still warm from them and helping make butter
