@flower.theatre: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 @Two Strangers Musical is one part 1 Rom 2 parts Com, and it is one of the best shows on the Westend right now (in my opinion). Light-hearted and humorous whilst grounded firmly in reality, it';s no wonder this show has already grown such a dedicated fan base. You all told me I would love it, and you were 100% correct! What I liked: The cast: Never before have I seen a show with only 2 people in it before, but they proved that 2 was all we needed. Sam Tutty and Dujonna Gift were a treat to watch perform. The set: Cleverly making use of a revolve as well as a mountain of luggage, this set appears simple upon first glance but transforms beautifully throughout the show. It was dynamic yet simple enough to allow the cast to shine. The Music: The songs in this musical are stellar- and of course, the lush voices of Sam Tutty and Dujonna Gift make them even better. With a good mix of catchy upbeat numbers as well as softer more emotional ballads, the music in this show really helps sell the show. The Culture Clash: Having grown up in both the UK and USA, the culture clash in this show was fab. Dougal was unapologetically British - with no attempts to temper his mannerisms and UK-isms for any Americans whilst Robin dispels any stereotypes of you traditional New Yorker in a way that is simply fab What I didn't like: Am I allowed to say nothing? This show to me was almost flawless. Perhaps I am biased, but I seriously can not find much to fault with this shows. I overheard some grumbling about the way the show ended, as awell as the disproportionate split of time between the 1st act and 2nd act, but I found I didn't mind either. Whilst it may not be everyone's cup of tea, this new musical brings joy and laughter to the Westend- something that seemed to be hard to find with a lot of shows these days. Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is running until the end of August, so if you are looking for the perfect show for some summer fun, I definitely suggest you go and check it out. #twostrangerscarryacakeacrossnewyork #twostrangers #samtutty #theatrereview #theatrecritic #theatre #theatrekid #musicaltheatre #londontheatre #westendtheatre #Newyork
